Thank your for sharing your thoughts on enterprise and consumer software design. It’s a really interesting topic. Having worked on both sides, I found myself naturally inclined to design for enterprise software, because I enjoy piecing the puzzles of complex problems, rather than spending lots of time crafting a motion animation. However, the complex nature of enterprise software design should not limit design direction explorations or hinder pushing for a higher design bar. Sure, it is frustrating for enterprise designers to face time and complex constraints when design, but that’s exactly what a design leader can differentiate themselves from others — explore a bit further and they may uncover a much better, efficient vision, which might help other teams to visualize what they originally can’t see.
